May 21, 2016 - The Monument

"Brief dive report –
Andrew Greenhill, Stefan Eberhard and I dived the Monument. Above the water the Monument is a spectacular site. The dive drops steeply into 30+m and then into a series of bommies, which made for good diving. Conditions were not ideal with a bit of surface chop and surge down to 15-20 metres. Visibility however was good approx. 15m+ and there were good schools of butterfly perch, along with the usual suspects wrasse species, morwong, boarfish etc.

In the end we settled on one dive as unfortunately Andrew injured his finger on the boat ladder and needed a few stiches. Keep an eye on the calendar as we are sure to go back and give the Monument another go.
